My history of weight loss and dieting has been rocky. I had the most success following the Atkins Diet. What I’ve found is…Diets Don’t Work. I don’t want to diet to get skinny fast, I want to be “just in control” of what I eat and be healthy so I can have as many years this “blink of an eye” life has to offer with my wife.
When I started this in July of 2008 I set some goals that did not work out.
one of the goals was to be 199 by January 31st 2009. Didn't hit it. Hit a wall and feeling defeated kind of fell off the wagon.
After a little consideration, I decided to launch JustIn Control 2.0. With fresh motivation and a fresh blog, I decided to set a new goal.
To run a 10k in July.
What a testament to how far we've come together. Exactly a year later to run 6.2 miles. So I signed up for the Wharf to Wharf in Santa Cruz. I have some friends joining me on this run and it is a real testament to the support that I've been shown on this journey.
To all my new supporters and especially to the ones that have been with me all along, thank you so much for going on this journey with me. You are valued more than I can express.
